The Anaga Rural Park lies in the northeast of Tenerife, just a few kilometers from Santa Cruz and La Laguna and one hour far from my guesthouse Un Jardin al Mar by car.

Located between 1,000 and 2,000 metres above sea level, the Corona Forestal (forest crown) forms a vast belt of forests that surrounds the Teide National Park. With more than 46,000 hectares, it is the largest protected natural area in the Canary Islands. It plays an essential role in climate regulation, the preservation of biodiversity and protection against erosion.

In the far northwest of Tenerife, the Teno massif reveals one of the island’s most authentic and unspoiled landscapes. Here, nature reigns supreme: steep mountains, dizzying ravines, misty forests, and ancient trails come together to create a breathtaking setting.

Tenerife is an island that stands out as much for the richness of its landscapes as for the variety of its trees, among endemic species, generous fruit trees and spectacular blooms.
